Examples of re-use of SDMX tools

For a presentation (UNSC seminar on Emerging trends in data communication and dissemination), I'm looking for examples of the re-use of SDMX-based tools, where one organisation has developed a tool and another organisation has re-used it.

Ideally I need examples in the area of dissemination and data visualisation, so I can show screen-shots.

Any suggestions?

At UNECE, we are looking into re-using Eurostat's Census Hub, and related SDMX tools for a project on international migration. Nothing to show yet, as we are waiting for the content people to develop Data Structure Definitions, but hopefully we will have at least a prototype later this year.

Hi John,
not sure whether this qualifies as an example: we are using the "SDMX registry" that can be downloaded via the SDMX Website (from Metadata Tech) for our BIS WebStats application, which is in production since a few months. There is not many data out there yet, bot there is more forthcoming. This is not really sharing among institutions, but using free ware tools.

Dear John,

The ECB has developed an SDMX-based visualisation framework. The framework is used to power the visualisation tools published on the ECB website, such as the ECB inflation dashoard (http://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/prices/hicp/html/inflation.en.html).

In 2008, the framework has been released as an open source project (http://code.google.com/p/flex-cb/), to which various institutions have contributed so far. Two of them, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Bank of Canada have now released visualisation tools on their website, that are also powered by this framework (see http://data.newyorkfed.org/creditconditions/ and http://credit.bank-banque-canada.ca/financialconditions).
